Deputy Chief Jason Neubauer conducts a Citizen’s Police Academy every other year. While obviously not as intense as a real police academy, the Citizen’s Academy offers an entertaining point of view about the Moraine Police Division and police work in general.

This interactive program is held one evening a week for eleven weeks. It covers topics including:

  • use of force
  • patrol work
  • firearms
  • evidence recovery
  • fingerprinting
  • prisoner processing
  • legal issues
  • crime scene investigations
  • drug investigations
  • undercover investigations

Students are also given the opportunity to ride along with a police officer and are given an informative insider’s tour of the Montgomery County Jail.

Contact Deputy Chief Jason Neubauer at 535-1182 to register for the next class.
